A 3 days charity art exhibition, “Let’s send your hearts," at chignitta space (Kyomachibori, Nishi-ku, Osaka City) from August 20 (Fri.) to 22 (Sun.).
<about chignitta community>
An online community, chignitta community was established in April 2021 by Osaka-based art director Yoshihiro Taniguchi and creative coordinator Junko Sasanuki. The aim is to create an interactive community where people who express themselves can talk to each other, understand each other, and cooperate with each other. "The members share ideas about what they want to do and have active meetings to give shape to their ideas and projects. We have artists, illustrators, graphic designers, web creators, photographers, architects, businessmen, farm owners, local hostel owners, music directors, city planning professionals, and many more. People who "want to start something" are communicating online every day.
<about Million Hearst Projects>
“Million Hearts project” is an activity started by the art unit "Haruki House", consisting of painter Naoki Tachibana and framer Hiroko Taki, to "flood the world with hearts". This project, which started as a gift for special people by putting blessings, gratitude, and prayers for peace into heart paintings, has developed into a charity activity, and 90% of the proceeds from the sale of million hearts are donated to support activities of Doctors Without Borders and the Japan Marrow Donor Program, as well as for disaster relief. From July 2018 to now, more than 450 Million Hearts have been sold, reaching many people in Japan and abroad. The total amount of donation is up to 1.3 million yen.
The Chignitta Community, an online community run by Chignitta, was established in April 2021 with the aim of supporting the self-realization of individuals. Currently, there are nearly 90 members with a wide variety of interests.
This time, one of the members, Naoki Tachibana, a painter living in Osaka, and Hiroko Taki, a framer, launched the "Million Hearts Project" in 2018, which will be featured at the chignitta space in Kyomachibori, Nishi-ku, Osaka City. The title of the exhibition is "Keep it for Everyone, Million Hearts. The white walls of the gallery will be covered with heart paintings, and the works will be exhibited and sold, with the proceeds going to the "Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) Coronary Infection Control and Novel Coronary Infection Crisis Response Fund".
